This book is on my to buy list. I’ve bought a few books through the same publisher and have only been disappointed once, which in their defence, there was nothing wrong with the book, I bought it purely on the title and it turned out to be not what I was expecting, so my fault really. What I do know about 100 Tips For Blues Guitar You Should Have Been Told is it is written by David Mead who’s work I am familiar with through reading his articles from magazines such as Guitarist and Guitar Techniques.

This book has managed to gain some popularity over the last couple of years and deservedly so. What I like about Blues You Can Use is it’s hands on. It’s probably not for the absolute beginner guitarist but if you have the basic chords down and are ready to take the plunge into the world of blues lead playing then the examples shouldn’t be too difficult to follow. There’s plenty in here for the beginner to intermediate and even advanced blues guitarists should find some useful stuff in here, if nothing else but for dissecting the solos.
